Where to log in
Go to www.empower.com/epw to access the Empower Personal Dashboard.
Logging in for the first time
- Use your full email address and password (the same ones you used before).
- After logging in, you can create a unique username in Settings.
Forgot your password?
- On the login screen, select Forgot username/password?
- On the next screen, choose one of these options:
- Workplace, Personal Wealth, and Cash accounts – if you have a Personal Cash account, a Personal Strategy account, or a workplace retirement plan with Empower.
- Free budgeting tools – if you only use Empower’s free financial tools such as budgeting, net worth, debt paydown and retirement planning
Troubleshoot common login issues
I am being asked to reset my password but didn’t expect this. Now I’m stuck in a loop.
In some scenarios we may need to confirm your username and password even you entered them correctly. If you are asked to complete the steps in Forgot username/password to confirm or recover your login information, please do so. Once you complete these steps, try logging in again with your updated login information.
If you still can’t sign in, submit a support ticket and include a screenshot of the login page showing only your username.
“Forgot username/password” says my account can’t be found.
Make sure you’ve selected the right account type:
- Choose the first option for Workplace, Personal Wealth, or Cash accounts.
- Choose the second option for Free financial tools only.
I’m not getting my one-time code when resetting my password.
If you don’t receive your code by phone or text, submit a support ticket and include your new phone number. To verify your identity, be prepared to answer at least three of these questions:
- Last 4 digits of two connected bank or investment accounts (investment preferred)
- Names of two connected financial institutions
- Tickers for two holdings in your portfolio
- Balance and last 4 digits of one connected account
