You can now link your Empower account using the new Open Authorization, or OAuth, process. This new linking process connects directly to the Empower site. You can read more about this process here: New Account Linking Process with Open Authorization.
There are a few notes on this new process. First, if you have an Empower Personal Cash account linked to your Empower dashboard, the account will be added to your Empower Personal Dashboard, however the account will not be active on the Empower Personal Dashboard. You will still need to use your original dashboard to use this account.
Empower HSA accounts will need to be linked using Optum Bank. Simply search for Optum Bank when adding a new account, and use your Empower HSA credentials to add the account to your Empower Personal Dashboard.
Additionally, any Non Qualified or Deferred Compensation accounts that were transferred from Prudential will not sync when linked to the Empower Personal Dashboard. These accounts will need to be added as manual accounts and tracked manually. Instructions for adding manual accounts can be found here: Create a Manual Account.
