Manual Accounts are accounts that are created within your Empower Personal Dashboard that are not actually linked to a financial institution. Since these accounts aren't linked, they cannot automatically update, and you will need to manually update the balance within Empower Personal Dashboard each time there is a balance change.
You can update any Manual Account that was added to your accounts list within your application by doing the following:
Web Application
- Login to Empower Personal Dashboard at home.personalcapital.com/page/login/goHome
- In the My Accounts Panel, select the account you need to edit.
- Click the Pencil icon to the left of the account name in order to edit the account:
- The Edit Account window will pop up to allow you to update the Description, Account Number, and Current Balance fields:
- Enter the new account balance in the Current Balance field and click on the Save button
Mobile Application (Android / iOS)
- Login to the application.
- From the Account list, tap on the account you need to edit.
- The Edit Account window will appear and allow you to update the account information, including the Current balance
- Enter the new balance into the Current balance field
- Tap "Save” in the upper-right corner to save your changes
