While unvested stock options technically have some potential value based on the future potential of the company's stock price, they do not hold any real market value until they vest, meaning you cannot exercise them to buy shares of the company stock; therefore they are generally considered to have little to no value until they become exercisable.
As such, the Empower Dashboard does not include the value of unvested stock options in the Net Worth and other calculations.
