When logging in to the Empower Personal Dashboard Android Mobile App using biometrics (fingerprint, face ID), you may see an error message indicating an issue with your internet connection. Our engineering team is aware of this issue and is working on a resolution, but in the meantime there is a workaround to clear this notification and sign in:
- First, tap "ok" on the error message.
- Sign in to the app using your password.
- Once signed in, tap on the 'cogwheel' symbol, at the top-right of your screen.
- From the Account Settings menu, select 'Fingerprint Authentication'.
- If the box next to this option is checked with a green checkmark, tap the box to uncheck then tap it again to re-enable this setting.
- Tap 'Save' to save these changes which will apply to the next time you login to your account.
This should clear the error, and it has not returned for users who have gone through this process. If you do see this error again after taking the steps, or if this process does not clear the error message, please let us know.
