Fidelity has been updated to now automatically include this account type as part of the Open Banking process that was introduced earlier this year.
In order to add this account to your Fidelity account in your Empower Personal Dashboard, take the following steps:
- Log in to your Empower Personal Dashboard
- From the account list on the left side, select your Fidelity account
- In the main screen, click the Pencil Icon next to the name of your account
- This will open a new screen to edit your account. Click the Update Account button
- A new screen will open for you to update your login to Fidelity using the Open Banking process
- Enter your login credentials
- When prompted make sure to select your Credit Card from the account list
This will add your Credit Card to the Fidelity Open Banking link and your account should update successfully going forward.
If you had the account linked previously through the Elan Fidelity Connection, we recommend waiting a day or two to ensure that your transaction and balance history is being pulled in successfully through the new linking process, then mark the account as closed as of the date that the new account was established.
Should you encounter any duplicate transactions between the new linked account and any previously linked Fidelity accounts, you can remove these directly through your Empower Personal Dashboard by following the steps outlined here: How Do I Mark Duplicate Transactions?
